In 2012, I bought a 110 acre lot that abuts my dads hunting property.  Though I have hunted this property for many years…..I really haven’t had a lot of time to step back and take a good look.  Recently I had a day that I could play hooky from work and I took some time to walk the property.  I was looking for deer activity, but I came across an old road that washed out due to some heavy rain.  Granted, I’m over 2 miles in the woods, and I find an old rusted horse shoe sticking out of the shale and rocks.  I will never know the age, but I’m sure it was from a team of horses pulling logs from the area.  Pretty cool actually.  I thought about bringing it home, but instead, I hung it up in a tree.  Its doubtful anyone else will find it, but I know where it is.  Will I have good luck hunting this year?
