barge tangled with a ship in the galveston/houston ship channel saturday. 168,000 gallons of bunker oil on the water. will have the channel shut down for days. the stuff is coming ashore in the galveston bay system. don’t think it will reach my house because i live about 1/4 mi up a bayou. here we go again! gas goin up. looks like with all the restrictions that are put on the commercial trucking industry, a few more need to be put on the marine traffic. with all the modern technology like radar and gps, these 4 and 500 ft vessels could see each other.
