My hunting time is limited due to my work schedule, so any chance I get, I try and make the most of it.  Yesterday I woke up at hunting camp after a workout with the chainsaw to clear the trail leading in, the night before. I think I got in around 9:30 pm.  Anyhow, the morning was still, and cold.  This was my first hunt of the 2018 season.  I ended up seeing 11 deer total.  10 were does and another that I only saw for a second and couldn’t identify.  I saw them on both sides of the bog and I took this video with my iPhone of 2 that came the closest.  I really need to invest in a new video camera.

Big rain is coming, and my hunting area will surely flood.  I hope to get back out in a couple weeks, and Thanksgiving.  For those out hunting…..best of luck to you.

    Mike

I thought these 3 were going to swim the stream, but they eventually decided not to.

Kinda how my hunts went this year… all smoothheads. Best-o-luck out there with dad’s ’06 Mike! Slay one for me 🙂
