USA & Cabela’s Team Up to Support Conservation

Nashville, TN—The Union Sportsmen’s Alliance (USA) is pleased to announce a new partnership with Cabela’s, the world’s foremost outfitter of hunting, fishing and outdoor gear.

Established during their 50th anniversary, this unique partnership aligns the Nebraska-based retailer with North America’s premier hunting, fishing and conservation organization for AFL-CIO Union members and their families.

“We feel fortunate to partner with Cabela’s, which has not only serviced the outdoor community for the last 50 years—building immense brand equity—but also has a long-standing commitment to conservation,” said USA Deputy Director Mike d’Oliveira. “We share relationships with so many of the same great manufacturers and industry leaders that this partnership is a natural marriage.”

Showcased in a variety of traditional media formats available through the USA, the partnership will be highlighted during its popular sporting clays and trap shoot series and numerous Union conventions and conferences being held across the country.

Cabela’s will also be featured as a driving force behind the USA’s new membership and recruitment campaign, which kicks off later this summer. Five new USA members will be awarded a $2,000 Cabela’s shopping spree, giving them unparalleled access to thousands of products, including hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, boating and wildlife-watching gear, as well as outdoor clothing and outdoor-themed gifts and furnishings.

The invaluable assistance of partners like Cabela’s and other great brands supports the USA’s goal of uniting the millions of active and retired labor Union members who hunt, fish, and recreate outdoors into one of the largest sportsmen-based conservation organizations in the country.
