This event does not happen without the support from Walla Walla District Army Corps of Engineers and our dedicated union volunteers from the Tri-Cities Area building & construction trades. A big thank you to the 341 community members and 185 youths who participated!

Drilling holes and getting kids outdoors. 🎣🧊

Dave Morin with International Union of Elevator Constructors (IUEC) Local 9 is an avid ice fisherman who has spent many cold Minnesota winters making great memories on the ice with his family. Six years ago Dave reached out to the USA after seeing the Take Kids Fishing program and identifying an opportunity to host annual Take Kids Ice Fishing events.

The USA and national partner Provost Umphrey Law Firm hosted the 5th Annual Provost Umphrey Get Youth Outdoors Day on April 26 in Lumberton, TX! The event educated youths about gun safety and responsibility, and provided a hands-on, outdoor experience.

“Our outdoor heritage depends on recruiting new participants. Busting a clay, catching a fish or hitting an archery target for the first time are very exciting for kids and can spark an interest in the outdoors that lasts a lifetime. We are proud to provide opportunities for young people and their families to have these rewarding experiences and thankful for partners like Provost Umphrey Law Firm that help make them possible.” - USA CEO & Executive Director Walt Ingram.
