USA Members Look Sharp and Work and Play Safe
For many union members working in the building trades, fighting fires, running machines, and doing other hands-on jobs, wearing a metal wedding band isn’t always possible and can be downright dangerous. And then there are all the outdoor pursuits where a metal ring can get in the way, cause unwanted noise, or fall off.
Thanks to the USA’s new branding agreement with Groove Life Corp., you can safely wear a wedding band, as well as other functional and stylish products, while helping preserve America’s outdoor heritage.
Headquartered in Spring Hill, Tennessee, Groove Life produces stylish silicone rings and space-age web belts—each designed to provide comfort, safety, and a bit of flair to active, hard-working people on and off the job.
“How USA members make their living, and what they like to do in the outdoors, often make wearing a ring or other jewelry dangerous,” said Jay Stuart, USA director of sales and marketing. “The Groove Ring is a great product for them because it not only looks good, it keeps them safe.”
The Groove Belt, another of the company’s premier products, is a handsome web belt with a patented neodymium magnet closure. These rare-earth magnets are used in things that require a low-mass magnet with a strong magnetic field—think hybrid vehicles and wind turbine generators. Strong, yet sleek, the Groove Belt would be an appropriate choice at work, in a tree stand, or even on a dinner date.
USA Groove Belt
Specifically for USA members, Stuart added, is a Groove Belt with the USA logo etched on the streamlined, aluminum buckle. “The Groove Belt is so comfortable,” he said, “it’s about the only one I wear these days. It has just the right amount of stretch when you move or bend.
“It’s another way we all can give back, too,” he added, “as a portion of the proceeds from each sale of a USA Groove Belt comes back to the USA.”
Before starting the company, Groove Life Corp. founder Peter Goodwin was a lodge owner and hunting, fishing, and adventure guide in Alaska. He was also fueled by a desire to produce innovative products for people who enjoy living, working, and playing in the outdoors. Today, the company has a strong following among athletes, adventurers, and outdoor enthusiasts, and counts professional sports stars, fitness influencers, professional racers, and several hunting and fishing celebrities among its partners.
“When Peter was in Alaska, he couldn’t wear his wedding ring when he was working because it was too hazardous, and other types of rings weren’t comfortable. That’s what inspired him to develop the Groove Ring—the first truly breathable silicone ring,” said Ahbra Northcutt, Groove Life director of brand partnerships. “Today, he tweaks every design until he feels it’s perfect.
“We’re very excited to be adding the Union Sportsmen’s Alliance to our list of Exclusive Partners,” she added. “USA members are our kind of people; they’re active in the outdoors and we know that whatever they choose to wear has to be comfortable and efficient.”
