The Unions Sportsmen’s Alliance’s (USA) popular shooting tour returns to Tennessee for its 4th Annual Nashville Area Sporting Clays Shoot on Saturday, March 22 at the Tennessee Clay Target Complex, 1100 County Hospital Road, in Nashville. Registration is scheduled to take place from 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. and the event’s shotgun start is slated for 9:30 a.m. Awards will be given to the highest scoring teams and top individual shooter.
The USA, North America’s only outdoor organization that unites union sportsmen and women to volunteer their time, talents and labor skills to conservation projects hosts roughly 30 sporting clays tournaments each year all over the country. The events serve not only as fun-filled venues for recreation among outdoor enthusiasts, but also as a starting point for volunteer conservation projects. In Greater Nashville, the generous volunteerism of union workers from the Nashville Building Trades – and, Spann Brothers Lumber Co., resulted in the complete rebuild of a walking bridge at Montgomery Bell State Park that had been washed away by the 2010 floods.
“The USA is committed to educating future generations of sportsmen and women about the importance of being involved in preserving our country’s outdoor heritage through hands-on conservation projects,” said Fred Myer’s, Executive Director of the Union Sportsmen’s Alliance. “USA shoots are an integral way to bring together a group of men and women who enjoy the outdoors and value a hard day’s work and giving back to their communities.”
