FRANKLIN, Tenn. — The Union Sportsmen’s Alliance (USA) is proud to announce that the Burris Company and Steiner Optik – industry leaders in hunting and shooting optics – have renewed their partnerships as corporate sponsors.
Since becoming a partner in 2011, Burris and Steiner have been tremendous supporters of the USA’s mission to unite the union community through conservation to preserve North America’s outdoor heritage.
“We are very excited to announce the continuation of our very successful partnership with the Burris and Steiner brands,” said USA Deputy Director Mike d’Oliveira. “Their support of the USA is amazing, and our members have come to understand that both brands share our vision and are committed to helping the USA grow and expand.”
According to Dennis Phillips, marketing manager for Burris and Steiner, continuing the partnerships was a slam dunk.
“Renewing the partnerships was the easiest marketing decision we had to make for 2015,” said Phillips. “The return on our investment is tremendous. Although it’s hard to quantify, our involvement with USA generates great exposure and goodwill that translates to sales and profits for both brands. By partnering with the USA, we have been able to effectively engage our customers at the grassroots level through events and exposure on television. The partnership is a great way to expand our efforts in key markets across the country.”
The USA uses top-quality gear from Burris and Steiner in several ways: USA members receive scopes, binoculars and other optics as prizes at shooting tour events and at conservation dinners, which help raise funds for the USA’s Work Boots on the Ground Program. Burris and Steiner also sponsor Brotherhood Outdoors, the USA’s award-winning TV show on the Sportsman Channel by providing optics for the show’s hosts and guests. According to Julie McQueen, Brotherhood Outdoors co-host, the addition has been welcome.
“Burris and Steiner optics give us an advantage when we are in the field because of their high quality glass and crisp, clear images,” said McQueen. “They’ve been a valuable tool for us when we need to spot animals from long distances. We are really rough on our equipment, and we know our optics will survive anything we put them through.”
With many affordable, U.S. made products, such as the new Steiner GS3 rifle scopes, Burris and Steiner seem to be a natural fit for the USA and vice-versa.
“Our customers are the USA members. We understand their optic needs, the kinds of outdoor activities they enjoy, and we build our products to enhance those pursuits,” said Phillips. “We all work hard, and time afield is hard to come by so we want to make the most of it.
