Nashville, TN—The Union Sportsmen’s Alliance (USA) is pleased to announce the renewal of its partnership with General Motors through Chevy, one of America’s most iconic brands. This renewal marks the extension of a three year marketing partnership between Chevy and North America’s premier hunting, fishing and conservation organization for AFL-CIO Union members and their families.
“We feel fortunate to be part of an effort that brings together Union members, who appreciate the quality of products made in the U.S. and the preservation of hunting and fishing traditions,” said Chevrolet Field Manager Kevin Messmer. “As the ‘Official Truck of the Outdoors,’ the Chevy Silverado is a great fit for this opportunity. We are looking forward to continuing our partnership with the Union Sportsmen’s Alliance.”
The Chevy partnership will be showcased in a variety of media formats available through the USA including the Union Sportsmen’s quarterly journal, USA Web site, social media and more. Chevy will also be prominently featured as the official truck of the USA’s new trailer and mobile shooting platform. The Silverado 3500 HD will make its debut at the USA’s 3rd Annual Capital Area/DC Sporting Clays Shoot on June 10 in Queenstown, Maryland.
Showcased at the USA’s remaining summer and fall sporting clays and trap shoots, the 3500 HD will also be featured at specialty events, conservation projects, and conferences and conventions. With an improvement of more than 11% on highway fuel economy from the previous model, the 2011 3500 HD will travel to 16 markets in 12 states—covering nearly 10,000 miles during the third and fourth quarters of 2011. When not employed at these functions, the truck and mobile shooting platform will be showcased outside of Union locals throughout the country.
“I can’t imagine a vehicle better suited for the task of pulling our mobile shooting platform across the country than the 3500 HD,” said USA Deputy Director Mike d’Oliveira. “We feel privileged to have the Chevy brand sponsoring the USA again. Over the last three years, their support and commitment has significantly enhanced our efforts to not only grow our organization but encourage greater participation in the shooting sports.”
The invaluable assistance of partners like Chevy and other great brands supports the USA’s goal of uniting the millions of active and retired labor Union members who hunt, fish, and spend time with their families in the outdoors into one of the largest hunting and fishing conservation organizations in the country.
