Try your hand at calling raccoons.
Though primarily a target for trappers and houndsmen, raccoons can be suckers for mouth-operated or electronic calling. Avian sounds are most effective, with the yellowhammer woodpecker, flicker, and starling-in-distress being traditionally productive in many areas. Hunting near active farms? A few friendly hen –as in chicken– clucks can garner immediate ‘coon attention.
