Nashville, TN – Suny Robinson, a public relations representative and member of OPEIU Local 277 from Galveston will star in a south Texas Whitetail hunt in the Union Sportsmen’s Alliance’s new TV show, Brotherhood Outdoors at 8 p.m. ET onThursday, October 6 on the Sportsman Channel.
Hosted by noted outdoorsman, Tom Ackerman, Brotherhood Outdoors puts American workers in the spotlight, giving them the opportunity to join Ackerman for a quality outfitted North American trip of their choosing or to act as his guide, taking him to their favorite hunting or fishing location.
Eager to join Ackerman at La Perla Ranch in Hebbronville, Robinson was faced with the challenge of overcoming buck fever and adjusting to hunting from a box blind instead of actively pursuing whitetail.
“The most nerve racking moment from my trip to La Perla was the anticipation I felt when I had the shooter in sight” said Robinson. “With the cameras breathing down my neck on the final day, it was hard to wait for the perfect moment while looking directly at the biggest buck I’ve ever had in my cross hairs.”
In addition to the exhilarating hunt, viewers will also get an intimate glimpse into the life of Robinson, a strong, female character with a passion for the great outdoors and a desire to make a difference in her community.
One of six kids, Robinson is the only one who shares her father’s passion for the great outdoors. After winning the USA’s Sporting Clays Shoot in 2010, Robinson’s dad turned her onto rifles and deer hunting. A shooting prowess, who’d make Annie Oakley proud, she regularly helps with deer management at her friend’s ranch in George West Texas by culling axis, red and fallow does.
When she’s not in the woods or on the water, Robinson can be found volunteering at food drives for union members and their families or helping to raise money for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society at shoot for a cure events.
During Robinson’s episode, she talks publically for the first time about being abandoned by her Korean birth mother as an infant. Shortly after filming Brotherhood Outdoors, Robinson was unexpectedly reunited with her mother for the first time in more than two decades.
Tune in to the Sportsman Channel at 8 p.m. ET on Thursday, October 6 to find out if Robinson will bag her first whitetail on this exciting episode of Brotherhood Outdoors.
